Kipnuk photos so far

Here are some pics from the year thus far.

Top to bottom

1. Clam digging - procedure: Rake the mud Bering Sea floor. Hit something hard pick it up. There is a sand bar off screen right, don't think we just jumped out of the boat.

2. Flight back to Kipnuk, 2nd and 1st year teachers. Our principal is sitting in the back on the left. His name is Jim, like me.

3. Bela's eye - one of my favorites of the year

4. Red bucket - Strong Arms - Short hair - I miss the hair.

5. Heating oil drum - garden hose we get our water from.

    Cute :-)

    Keep um coming Jim.
We love to laugh and your postings are putting smiles on everyones faces.

If you ever decide to give up teaching, I'm sure there is a place in stand-up comedy for you. Do your students get your humor?

Hey Jim and Steph - it's good to hear from you. We think you should have fought to keep the house you had last year. Thanks for entertaining us. Dar and Wanda

    Bill,

I am really boring to talk to in person, so the stand up thing would probably not work to well.

I try not to lay on the humor to much with them, because most of it goes over their heads. So this blog is my release I guess.

This is an education for me in many ways - I love the pics and stories about Kipnuk and your lives there! And because of you I now (kind of) understand what a "blog" site is! Perhaps there is hope for my generation yet!

I am sure you are counting the days till your Christmas break. I will say a prayer that you get out of Kipnuk on your first try! Love, Aunt Janet
